I had an awesome birthday this year. I don't know why it was any better than previous ones, but it was. My birthday celebration started on Saturday when I got an hour long massage. I apparently needed it becuase the massage therapist asked me, "Girl, what do you do for a living?" In which I replied, "I'm a first year, first grade teacher. " I guess that explained it because she then said, "Oh, I see."
After a lot of relaxtion and some pain, Jordan took me to Noodles. I had a free birthday entree, so that made it a pretty cheap date. Not that it matters about how cheap it is or not...I'm rich!! Thanks to Maggs! For my birthday, Maggie sent me 50Billion Dollars...in Zimbabwe money, which is equivalent to one penny...BUMMER.
On Sunday, Jordan and I met my parents for lunch and then they came over for dessert. I love my birthday present from them, even though it has not yet arrived. Any guesses...

...of course, the newest Vera Bradley purse! (I know, I'm addicted)
The bummer about having a job is that you have to work on your birthday. My day was made better when my co-workers took me out for lunch at Rumbi and baked me a berry pie. So, it wasn't that bad. I also had to get lab work done for my Nigeria physical, so I ended up getting blood drawn, a TB test, and a couple other things done on my special day. Oh well, it's one more thing checked off my never ending list.
When I got home, Jordan and I changed and headed out to dinner. We went to PF Changs, which I LOVE! I gorged my self with lettuce wraps, crunchy honey chicken and dessert. It was a wonderful date. Jordan is so sweet...he bought me a ton of socks (I love cute socks) and a couple accessories for my Kitchen Aid mixer. I love cooking and I'm so into kitchen gagets. My husband knows me well!
Today, my birthday celebration continued with my friends from CC. I was lucky enough to get a Wooglins (Hooligans...inside joke) gift certificate and some teacher stuff. My friend, Polly took me to Wooglins for dinner and we enjoyed catching up and of course, venting our many frustrations.
My birthday week, as Jordan and I call it, turned out to be pretty good. I got to spend time with family and friends and I made out with some awesome gifts! Thanks everyone for making me feel so special.
