One Last Long Weekend

We were pleasantly surprised by the announcement on Thursday that we would not be having school on Monday. No, it's not for Memorial Day, but rather for Nigeria's Democracy Day (Sunday, May 29th). President Goodluck Jonathan is also being inaugurated on Sunday, so Monday is a day of celebration and NO SCHOOL!

Bring on the Rain

Ahh...the rainy season is back! After months of dry, hot, dusty conditions we have been relieved with some much needed rain. With the rain comes the mango and avocado season and the vibrant colors of flowering trees.
