Lake Naivashu

After leaving Lake Nakuru, we headed farther south to Lake Naivashu. This was the place where Joy Adamson, author of Born Free, lived in the mid 1960's. Lake Naivashu is a freshwater lake in the Rift Valley. We stopped here on our way to Masai Mara.

Hippos
One of the most dangerous animals.
They have been known to tip boats over; making us feel on edge throughout the entire boat ride.

Lake Naivashu is a bird lovers paradise.

Looks very similar to a Bald Eagle.
